How do I remove a stain from my carpet without chemicals?

Comment enlever une tâche de mon tapis sans produit chimique ?

If your carpet is stained, don't panic! There are many natural tricks to remove this unwanted stain.

Sparkling water and baking soda

To remove a stain from a rug or carpet, but also to restore its shine, brush your carpet with sparkling water using a sponge. Brush it gently and let it dry for 30 minutes. Next, sprinkle your carpet with baking soda. Once the baking soda is dry, vacuum your carpet.

The land of Sommières

Terre de Sommières, which is a fluid clay powder, has a strong dry stain removal power for greasy, sauce or make-up stains, for example. Just sprinkle it generously on the stain to be treated and leave it to act for 1 or 2 hours. Brush and vacuum to remove traces of soil from Sommières.

white vinegar

White vinegar is very effective for deodorizing, descaling and sanitizing the house. It is also used to detach. On your carpet, rub the stain with a cloth soaked in white vinegar and leave to act for 15 minutes. Then brush with a mixture of water and washing-up liquid whipped into a foam. Finish by rinsing with clear water and wiping your carpet with a clean cloth. Let dry. You can also mix 1 liter of sparkling water and 20 cl of white vinegar and use this mixture as a shampoo for your carpet. Leave on for 30 minutes and then rinse with clean water.

The talc

With its strong absorption power, talc is a very effective stain remover. It is also a light abrasive that makes it easy to clean oil, grease or wine stains from a carpet. Sprinkle your stained carpet with talcum powder and cover the area to be cleaned with several layers of paper towels. Run a hot iron over the paper towel and repeat the operation until the stain is gone and changing the paper towel sheets until they are free of dirt.

As for the regular maintenance of my carpet, a simple vacuuming is enough to remove most of the accumulated dirt.
